donnybrook boys

While Doyle McCrory and Thomas Lynch may only have basic self-defense training, you'd be surprised how well you can hone your skills while bouncing at McClusky's in South Boston. Near Andrew Square, the bar was famously perched between two rival gang areas, and was supposed to be a neutral local hangout. But violence would often occur and it was up to Doyle and Tommy to keep the peace.
It was after one particularly rowdy night involving The Seventh Street Knights, the cops, an ambulance and damn near the city coroner that the boys decided it was probably time for a career shift--and a change of address. While on the hunt for work, as luck would have it, they happened upon a posting in the Boston Herald--an open audition for a small amateur wrestling circuit. The boys stood out as being the only ones that didn't bother with a gimmick. They were a no-nonsense pair from Southie, and the promoters saw something in their straightforward and vicious efficiency.
In the ring, McCrory and Lynch have each other's backs just as if they were in a typical Friday night dust up. Their tactics are surprisingly technical as they look to put the hurt on opponents sometimes twice their size. Now having graduated to the EWA they still find matches to be much like bouncing. When that bell rings it's as if Kit the bartender was given them the nod and saying, "Fellas, those two have got to go!"
